The Columbus Blue Jackets were selected to host the 2015 NHL All Star Game. The team wanted to add an outdoor ancillary event to complement the league events and provide an opportunity for fans that did not have a ticket to the game. MAG spent several months working with the team to design multiple options for the team’s sponsorship sales group to gather community support. MAG assisted in the overall event design, permitting, graphic design, and environment build-out, and on-site management of all elements. The event was such a success that MAG and the Blue Jackets have continued to collaborate on the Winter Park the past three years.
MAG has utilized its industry relationships to identify twenty-five different vendors to assist in creating Winter Park. MAG’s graphic design team created and installed more than 25,000 square feet of graphics through the Winter Park venue. Nineteen of the team’s sponsors activated at Winter Park.
Over 12,000 people participated in the public skating sessions on the Scotts Miracle-Gro Community Ice Rink. Over 6,000 people utilized the Huntington bank three and half story snow slide on Nationwide Boulevard. 40,000 fans visited Winter Park throughout the weekend. Winter Park received significant national and local media coverage during the weekend.
