MAG has developed a reputation for assisting both professional sports teams and the NCAA with designing and producing high quality Fan Fest events.
The Chicago Blackhawks reached out to MAG in 2012 to see if we could provide a new look and feel for the Blackhawks annual fan convention. The Blackhawks had used the same vendor since the events inception in 2008 and wanted to upgrade the quality and management of the event.
MAG has been the Blackhawks vendor of choice in assisting the teams event and marketing staff in the production of the event. The Chicago Blackhawks Convention is a three-day event in the middle of the summer that celebrates all things Blackhawks. The event attracts over 10,000 fans who participate in a live televised opening ceremony, player autograph sessions, discussion forums with players, alumni and front office personal and interactive game hall.
MAG changes the show design yearly. A staple that MAG has introduced is half scale hockey rink floor built in a hotel ballroom. The Blackhawks youth hockey staff conduct clinics and tournaments throughout the duration of the event. Seeing current Blackhawks players interact with young fans is always a highlight of the event. During the time we have been affiliated with the event, MAG has built displays encompassing a replica Blackhawks locker room, historical displays, NHL trophy displays, sports bar, kids zones, video game kiosks, interactive hockey games, and live radio remotes.
